WE SHARE IN THESE SERVICES TO OUR COMMUNITY:
ARVADA FOOD BANK -a non-profit agency offering food for the homeless and other individuals who reside in Arvada. JAUMC collects and donates food to them every other month. United Methodist Women contribute cash donation during the year.
ARVADA MERIDIAN RETIREMENT COMMUNITY-a retirement home for the senior citizens of Arvada. JAUMC provides them with a communion service once a month.
BIBLE STUDY-meets most Thursday mornings at 11:00 a.m. Led by Rev. John Denker.
CARNIVAL-an annual youth carnivals are held at JAUMC during the month of June.
CHRISTMAS EVE-JAUMC offers two Christmas Eve Candlelight Services. One is held at 6:00 p.m. and the other is at 9:00 p.m. At 7:30 p.m., a Christmas Eve "Soup Supper" is offered to anyone who would like to attend.
COMMUNITY CENTER-we offer meeting space for community organizations on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis. Some of these organizations include: Westside Stamp Club, the Bennett School of Irish Dance, the DAC organization, and the Rocky Mountain Miniature Club to name a few. We also have several Antique and Collectible Shows which use our facility as well as a Button Club which also meets.
INTERFAITH HOSPITALITY NETWORK (IHN)-JAUMC is a host site for IHN four times a year. This is an interfaith program to house and feed homeless families. JAUMC buys gifts for the Adopt-A-Family at Christmas through this program.
JEFFCO ACTION CENTER -a non-profit agency offering services for the homeless and low-income individuals who reside in Jefferson County. JAUMC collects and donates food and other items to JAC every other month; makes and donates kits for adults and children; helps provide dog and cat food for pets; and fills a Christmas tree with winter mittens at hats. United Methodist Women contributes cash to JAC during the year. Jefferson County Church Women United helps with JAC's Beautiful Junk Sales, their Santa Shop, volunteer for various positions and supports the annual "Give Your Heart to JAC" Italian Dinner.
JUMMP (Jefferson County United Methodist Mission Partners)-is a coalition of United Methodist Churches in Jefferson County reaching out to the needs of various communities. JUMMP coordinates honey sales as well as their annual spring fundraiser at Lakewood United Methodist Church. JUMMP also participates in the Habitat for Humanity program as well as sponsoring mission trips to places such as Mexico and Guatemala.
PASTORAL CARE-is available to all and provided by the pastors.
GARAGE SALES-are held twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall. Besides being a moneymaker for the church, it also serves to provide low cost items to the community.
SHARE COLORADO -offers discount prices on food for Community Service. JAUMC is a pick-up point. SHARE can save a family about 50% on their groceries, and encourages the building of relationships within family and neighbors in the Community. SHARE is available to everyone! No limit to the amount of food you can order. (303) 428-0400.SPECIAL GIFTS-JAUMC at Easter and at Christmas donates special cash gifts to four specified charities or other organizations in need.
SPIRITUAL SUPPORT-meets most Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. All are invited to attend.
THANKSGIVING BASKETS-JAUMC provides food baskets complete with turkeys to the families of under privileged children at Thanksgiving.
